Jiang Jingcheng, the first official of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and Resources, visited Samsung Electronics Digital City (Suwon) on May 23 (Thursday) to confirm the development achievements of remote control induction cooker products launched through regulatory sandbox empirical exceptions, and listened to the on-site difficulties of enterprises to support the launch of new technologies and products on the market.
Samsung Electronics has created an unrestricted environment like a Sandbox for children and developed various ideas for a restricted sandbox system. Last month, it launched its first remote controlled induction cooker product in the domestic market that can be controlled through an app to change actions, end, and more.
Through this empirical exception, consumers can experience the convenience of using remote control technology that has been validated for safety in smart home appliances, which is expected to become an opportunity to promote the launch of various artificial intelligence (AI) smart home appliance products in the future.
During the on-site visit on that day, for the first time, Jiang Jingcheng and the 2030 consulting team of the Ministry of Industry inspected Samsung Electronics' empirical special case promotion achievements, listened to the limitations and difficulties in the research and development (R&D) of smart home appliances and the product launch process. The Ministry of Industry plans to actively improve the on-site difficulties of enterprises within the scope of ensuring national security. At the same time, by developing core component technologies suitable for AI in home appliance manufacturing enterprises and cultivating professional talents, the domestic smart home appliance industry will actively support and seize the global market.

The first official, Jiang Jingcheng, stated, "If product safety is ensured through regulatory sandboxes, domestic safety standards will be rapidly improved. Not only will domestic regulations be improved, but international standard proposals will also actively support global market leaders."
