The National Institute of Technical Standards (Dean Chen Zhongxu, hereinafter referred to as the National Institute of Technical Standards) will start promoting the "development of potential testing services" project from June, to help enterprises in cutting-edge industries such as system semiconductors, marine biodegradable materials, and components that are expected to grow in the future obtain the necessary testing certifications for export from domestic testing and certification institutions.
This year's "Potential Test Service Development" project aims to ensure the technological strength of domestic cutting-edge industries and support enterprises to enter overseas markets. It will consolidate 7 cutting-edge industries and carbon neutrality fields, including electromagnetic synthesis test certification based on on on chip ICs of system semiconductors, safety and performance test certification of unmanned electromechanical energy systems (batteries, MCU *, etc.), collapse and toxicity safety test certification of marine biodegradable materials and components.
*Microcontroller Unit (MCU): A specialized processor used to control a specific system
The National Institute of Standards plans to announce support projects to the National Institute of Technical Standards (www.kats. go. kr) and the Korean Institute of Industrial Technology Planning and Evaluation (www.keit. re. kr) starting from May 10th (Friday), and accept business applications before June 10th (Monday). The competent authority will be selected in June.
Park Jae ying, Director of the Suitability Policy Bureau, said, "Through this promising experimental service development project, enterprises in cutting-edge industries, carbon neutrality and other potential industries will obtain experimental certification domestically, thereby reducing experimental costs and shortening certification time. In the future, in order to strengthen the technical competitiveness of related industries and expand exports, we will continue to build a foundation for the experimental certification industry."
